Cindi was scheduled to participate in a January go-Live event for our work which was going to be in Burnet County. We schemed and decided it was a great excuse to get down to Hidden Falls Adventure Park for some wheeling before she was supposed to check in with her group. We found a great little house on AirBNB that was just north of Burnet, TX and not too far from the off road park. We drove down and decided to go straight to the park for some fun and dirt. We also found out that the go-Live event had been delayed and Cindi was not going to have to work as expected, so our weekend just got longer. Since the house we found was pet friendly we took the frenchies, Beaux and Bandit, along for the ride. We wheeled until 6ish then went to check into the house. What a find! This place was quiet, secluded, and quaint. Couldn’t ask for much more in a weekend escape. We unloaded our gear and hung out for a little while and fed the dogs. They were exhausted from all the travel and bouncing around in the Jeep. We decided to leave the dogs at the house while we went into town to grab a bite to eat at a local cafe. Food was amazing! We headed back to the house to settle in, but not before walking outside to a crystal clear January night with no moon and billions of stars overhead. The temps continued to fall so we called it a night and crashed out. The next morning we checked out and headed back to Hidden Falls for some more fun in dirt before heading home. This was a great first trip down and a great weekend getaway. I am reluctant to give the house information away because it will stay booked with people loving it! Call me stingy.
