LT Swap – Teardown Day 2

Got an early start today to work on clearing the trans cooler, power steering cooler, and AC condenser. The trans cooler hoses were tangled in the AC condenser hard lines, it was a little tricky to get things clear without making a huge mess. It would be really nice not to trash the garage floor during the swap, Transmission cooler came out, then the power steering cooler. After the coolers were out I was able to work on clearing the hoses going to the coolers. The hydraulic assist system was completely torn down since it will switch to a driver side accessory on the engine. Last thing before lunch was to remove the AC condensor.

After lunch and a few errands I had to crawl under to get the oil pan skid and transfer case skid out of the way. With those skids cleared I took some time to remove the driveshafts, and the exhaust Y pipe.

Plan for tomorrow is to break the transfer case loose from the transmission and get all the wiring and connections free from the engine, and take off the exhaust manifolds.

Front is cleared.
Dirt collection on the transfer case skid.
