There has not been a lot of visible progress on the swap. The list for items to complete the build is growing. A couple of items of struggle include PSC power steering pump mount, exhaust and a transmission mounting plate for the crossmember. The stumbling blocks are mostly handling the unknowns. While the build progresses the unknowns list should shrink pretty quick.
Yesterday I had the motor mounts tacked in place. This will allow me to fit the engine in the engine bay and test fit the AC, water pump clearance with steering gear box, fan and radiator clearance with accessory drive, and transmission tunnel clearance for exhaust and wiring harness. I will also be able to mock up the plate for the transmission mount. The transmission tail on the 8L90e extends beyond the factory crossmember so a plate will need to be bolted on as an extension.
