I have been tossing around the pros and cons of running my current axles after the swap. Pro, they are already in the Jeep. Cons, money, time, and grenading a perfectly good axle, etc. The cons list is longer, but the main point would be the last item mentioned. If I choose to run the D30 tube, D44 housing front axle and it blows up, then I am jeopardizing myself with the loss of money from selling and letting somebody else enjoy these built axles, and then forcing myself to purchase a new axle to replace the damage. It is a lose, lose situation if I don’t upgrade now.
With the thought of losing the money and time, I listed my axles for sale. They are currently being removed for a buyer. Once the old axles are secured by a new owner I will look into placing an order with Fusion 4×4 to build me a nice of 1 ton axles. Fingers crossed with a lot of anticipation.
