All of the big items for the swap are complete except for driveshafts and exhaust. Driveshafts will go in Sunday, and exhaust will have to wait until I can get under the Jeep with my welder here. The 7075 aluminum for the steering parts is on back order, so alignment and hydraulics will have to wait. There is something to be said for putting a GM engine in a Jeep, it doesn’t belong here! It is surprising how many things have to be fabricated and/or completely moved and custom fit or work with this install. I was able to get the upper and lower radiator hoses built from several different hoses put together. I used ICT Billet aluminum couplers and spring clamps to complete the unions. The hoses look stock except for the couplers. I am hoping to locate a company that can custom form a hose for me using my Frankenstein templates. Next on the list is transmission cooling lines and coolers, power steering hoses and coolers, and Jeep ECU harness modifications. I will put the TIPM back in place to do some accessory wiring, but the battery tray will be one of the last things to go back in the Jeep. Getting closer!
