Why is it when you complete tasks on the list it seems like more tasks magically appear? I was able to get the routing complete for the transmission cooling lines. Where there was a 90-degree turn needed I bent and beaded aluminum tubing to keep the hoses neat while following the planned routes. The aluminum tubing will help to prevent binding and rubbing in tight spots. The power steering return through the Derale cooler is complete. I am waiting for parts to build a power steering high-pressure hose. I can install my hydraulic ram and close the power steering system when the high-pressure hose is complete. The A/C system is closed up. I will need to run a vacuum on it for a couple of hours to eliminate moisture. All of the coolant systems have been plumbed and closed up. I finally found heater hoses that will do the job along the crazy route from the firewall to the water pump.
I still need to service the axles and add fluids. I will be using Lucas Oil HD 85-140w non-synthetic gear oil for this build. I am seeing really good reviews on the Lucas gear oil, so I will give it a shot. Last night I began the process accessory wiring. Several wires need be run to the back of the Jeep for air compressor relay trigger and air locker relays. I will run all the necessary wires (plus a couple of extras) in a single loom along the top of the passenger frame rail. The goal is to have all the accessory wire connections under the TIPM and near the battery. Delco style wire connectors will be used for ease of wire management, and to manage any future disconnects. I can begin to route the air hoses for lockers and swaybar once the air relays are mounted in their permanent home. I will also take a little time in between the tasks mentioned and complete my battery cable install. I have been putting that off because I do not want any power applied to the Jeep just yet. My goal is to start the engine by mid-June!
