I have used PSC steering on the Jeep since 2016 and it has held up well. I have only suffered one hose fail on the trail and that was mostly my fault for service oversight. While the Jeep has been in pieces I have looked at Lee Rams, AGR Steering, and a few other assist solutions. I have decided to stay with PSC and change up the mounting and direction of ram travel. I will be relocating my axle side ram tabs from the track bar bracket to the diff cover. The thought behind the change is less flex and added strength on the tie rod. When I upgraded my steering I was looking for the largest end forgings on the market. It turns out Rare Parts has a 2.5 ton steering setup that has massive ends. I will be able push the ram travel as close to the tie rod end as possible since the ends are so beefy. The more I thought about a 7075 aluminum tie rod and the ram clamp pushing the middle of the tie rod with the axle side tabs close to the track bar, all I could envision was tons of flex from the cylinder assist bowing the tie rod as it exerted force. The downside to a diff cover mount is pushing the RTV seal around and causing leaks. I will address that when it happens. For now I am going with strength.
