The transmission was pulled back out of the Jeep and taken apart for inspection. It was discovered that the chain driven fluid pump on the valve body was bad and only making partial pressure. While the transmission was open the internal wiring harness, torque converter, and seals were replaced. The transmission went back into the Jeep and still would not move. The transmission was removed again for a close visual inspection. It was discovered the stator plate was cracked. The stator plate was replaced and the transmission was put back in the Jeep. Still nothing. All the solenoid commands are being received by the transmission when commanded through the TCM using HP Tuners and GM Tech2 GDS2. The fast relearn process is completing as expected in TIS2Web SPS. I also updated the ECM and TCM with latest software/firmware as well as recalibrated TCM with original GM cloud calibrations.
When the transmission is in manual valve body mode (round electronic connector unplugged) the Jeep will move forward and reverse with range selection. When the Jeep is in the fast relearn process the transmission pulls really hard, enough to chirp the 40s on the garage floor. In short, lots of money and time invested and still nothing. Fun days ahead. The Jeep will be making a trip to Alabama in February to see the boys at RPM Extreme for some love and attention. Check back for updates
