Finally got all the Cooper ATs dismounted from the Method beads, and go the new Nitto Trail Grappler MTs swapped on. This process is tiring! At times breaking J beads on a tire manually can make you look like a gorilla at the zoo. Anyway, after Cindi got a good laugh at me breaking beads, […]

Lift and More!
Sent the Jeep off to get some work done. With all the parts that had accumulated all at once, it was going to take me months to get everything installed, and possibly multiple trips to off-road shop for fine tuning. With the help of cal Cahoun at CK Customs in Ennis, I was able to […]

Just Say ‘No’ to 20s
I bought the Jeep with some really nice (and pricey) Fuel wheels that looked great! Unfortunately in this case, good looks don’t translate to a good ride. The problem with 35 inch tires on 20 inch rims is the lack of sidewall to cushion the ride. Also with a stiff sidewall along with a mud […]
Rock Krawler Brown Santa!!
Today my Rock Krawler 3.5 X-Factor lift kit came in. It included new springs, upper and lower mid-length control arms for all corners. adjustable front and rear track bar, rear track bar relocation bracket, spring correction wedges, sway bar disconnects! Time to disassemble and send out black parts for red powder coat!
Well poo! Not What I Was Expecting… Next
Ordered a set of Mickey Thompson “simulated” bead locks. There is a reason bead locks are cheap… if they are not real bead locks. These will go up for sale unopened
Clean Seats; Sweaty Butt
In an attempt to keep the leather clean in the Jeep I installed a set of custom fit CoverKing Neoprene seat covers. They look great, but man they hold the summer heat!

In June I had a great idea to run some Infinity speakers in the Jeep. Turns out it wasn’t such a great idea – they suck. This time around we will be going with a marine grade Polk Audio product for the dash and soundbar. The dash speakers will be going back to the component […]
How High Can a HiLift Jack Lift?
Got a crazy idea, and we all know what happens when Mark gets a crazy idea. Well this time it started with a tall Jeep and a need to lift a tire while out on the trails. Light bulb! Use the Rugged Ridge Tailgate HiLift Jack Hinge Mount and modify it to fit on the […]

Stereo Upgrade Time
The Jeep was purchased with an aftermarket stereo that left a little to the imagination. The head unit was a popular brand in the Jeep world, but I had never heard of it. It had navigation which had to be updated via SD card, and the maps were several years behind. It did not have […]
The Jeep Has Gone Soft
I have always admired the look of the slant back top on a Jeep. The slant back hard top that I love is priced over $3000, so I am opting for a Bestop Trektop NX Slant Back soft top with SunRider. The SunRider feature allows the front portion of the top to be folded back […]
